Shipping from USA to ARGENTINA?

I'm planning to move to Argentina and I was wondering how much would it cost to ship by container. Less than 500 lbs. And how many days-months before I leave should I ship it because I know it takes long since its by boat.



Thanks.This doesn't answer your question exactly, but it might give you some idea. I moved to Argentina 5 years ago. I shipped everything in a full container (10ft high x 10ft wide x 40 ft long). Including packing at the source (Dallas) and delivery to the target (Cordoba), it cost a little more than 10,000 dollars. It was in transit for almost exactly a month so we rented a temporary furnished apartment until our stuff arrived.
