Problem with ebay buyer help?

-ok so I sold an item on ebay for 拢2.99, delivery times stated 4-5 working days, for some reason royal mail took an extra 4 days to deliver something 1st class so buyer was chasing me for delivery. Said if nothing by end of this week I would send another or give a refund. Buyer was really pushy saying they've waited long enough and wanted a refund straight away. Knowing I had sent it by franked mail I knew it would be just delayed. Sure enough today the buyer has admitted receiving the goods but is refusing to close the dispute as they want "compensation" for the delay. Surely claiming for non receipt of goods when you have admitted its now arrived is fraud? This has just made the buyer madder and totally refused to communicate. Now ebay say the money will be automatically refunded in 3 days, despite the buyer admitting to me and ebay they've now got the goods, surely this is fraud? I know it's only 拢2.99 but it's the principal and now they're threatening negative feedback which will damage my 100% record, HELP!?!It's not fraud but it is clearly wrong.

Before making contact, briefly summarise (in writing, in case you get upset while you are talking - you need to be as calm and collected as possible to make the best impression) the dates on which things happened. The point you need to get over is that you kept your part of the bargain and the buyer has the goods.

I think you're stuck. I'm sorry, I get really mad hearing these stories. I am a buyer myself, a good honest buyer, and it's nasty types like this that wreck eBay for others.

If you can cancel the transaction, refund the buyer. I get the feeling you are going to get bad feedback from this loser no matter what you do.

I bought an item nearly 3 weeks ago, I paid 40 pounds international shipping, but am I lodging complaints or causing problems, no I'm not. Sure I'll lodge a dispute at the 40 day mark, but not before. I don't blame sellers for things outside their control. I have over 750 purchase feedback. I have only once left negative feedback.
