How would I go about starting a basketball community center in my town?

-I would like to put together money to rent or "lease" a building where i can add basketball courts, computer room, entertainment area, maybe a day-care and somewhere young people can go for help and or tutoring, while also providing jobs for young adults. Hold different kinds of events (basketball tournaments, dance-offs, and other talent events) to raise money for the business and also to put some cash in our young americans hands... if you have any ideas or you think you can help please comment "asap"... thanksWell you can go to the Boys And Girls Club Of America website and there is information on how to start a boys and girls club in your local area. With using the Boys And Girls Club name your city council might be more interested in this idea being that this is a national organization. Once you have started working with the Boys and Girls Club you should bring propose the idea to your local Parks & Recreation Department or City Council for project funding. The Boys and Girls Club in our area hires young people and has their own sport leagues, they also hold event for the community. I used to go to the Club but eventually stopped because it became over run with thugs and gang members, also the YMCA but it got shut down, there are no places to play ball in my city anymore during the winter, only local colleges. I am sorry I ave no idea what you could do, maybe you could reach out to wealthy community leaders or some famous athletes who would fund this, they do give back. I just wanted to tell you it is nice to see that people still care about their communities and want to help.
